The Fall Foliage In Maine In the Lakes Region

 I decided to take a few pictures of the fall foliage while we were tied up for a bit. These pictures were taken West of Portland Maine in the Lakes Country. There are all of these little lakes there and the fall foliage is highly recommended. I took a lot of pictures but don't have time to post them so this is all I could share tonight.

We sail tomorrow and I will be gone for a bit so I wanted to post this article. Perhaps it is better if I duck out for a while.....

I am thankful for all of the viners that have been my friends and supporters. 

 

This view of Long Lake is of a little island near the shore. The foliage is supposed ot be not very good this year but I thought it was lovely.

This little lake near Sebago Lake in Maine was really pretty.

The Full Hunter's Moon over the fall foliage. There is something about this picture.....

Soov- I had visions of fall foliage and still water. These are just a couple of the images I took, but the foliage is just getting better right now. I might get a chance to go back.

Really beautiful images JJ. Maine is a really nice place. My brother was staioned there when he was in the Coast Guard but he never got to see a moose.

Vlads-Maine is lovely this time of year. I have never seen a moose in person before either. They are pretty feisty.

I'm sorry..unless you are a rain lover.. than i'm happy..for you.. For some reason, I always think of a Dan Fogelberg's
song which he composed & performed..entitled : The Reach..when i view & absorb your photography. There are a couple other artist's here on the Vine which also remind me of many of his songs. MightyJ. thanks..as always...Be safe & the crew.. too.

These are my first fall foliage pictures. I have been taking so many ocean pictures lately I was starting to think my camera was pre-disposed to greens and blues. I was glad to get the colors of the foliage for a photo subject.

MightyJ - You're a lucky man to be surrounded by such beauty and have the ability to appreciate it. That last pic is pretty special isn't it.

Remember your Hunters Moon pictures and I mentioned they brought back memories, well I went and dug some up and posted. lol I was looking at old pics for hours. Were you able to see Jupiter and the Moon hanging out together last night?

These are very beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing, JJ. We are beginning to get those same colors here as well. And I was glad to be able to see both the moon and Jupiter last night. Way cool.
